Lymphatic Reset & The Big Six! — Dr. Perry Nickelston #013

What if the missing link in chronic pain, inflammation, brain fog, and stubborn weight gain isn’t your workout, supplements, or latest biohack — but your lymphatic system? Dr. Perry Nickelston (@stopchasingpain) argues that the body’s drainage system is foundational to recovery, immunity, and overall health. In this conversation, Perry and Daniel explore how stagnant lymph and poor fluid flow can contribute to inflammation, swelling, pain, fatigue, and impaired function, and why the principle of “drainage precedes supply” may be one of the most overlooked ideas in health.

Perry shares his own journey from a back injury and chiropractic care to sports medicine and an autoimmune crisis that led him to look deeper into lymph, fluid flow, and the mechanics of healing. He also breaks down his practical “Big Six” reset, explaining how breathing, hydration, posture, movement, and targeted techniques can help support lymphatic flow — and why sequence and consistency matter more than intensity.

If you’ve been doing everything right but still feel stuck, this episode offers a new framework for understanding what may be happening beneath the surface — and practical tools to support recovery, resilience, energy, and clarity.

Dr. Perry Nickelston is a chiropractic physician, educator, international speaker, author, and founder of Stop Chasing Pain. A 1997 graduate of Palmer Chiropractic University with more than 28 years of clinical experience, he is widely known as “The Lymph Doc” for his pioneering work exploring the role of the lymphatic and vascular systems in chronic pain, inflammation, movement, recovery, and performance.

Dr. Perry’s approach is rooted in a simple but powerful philosophy: the body does not work in isolated parts. His work explores the interconnected relationships among the lymphatic, vascular, nervous, immune, and musculoskeletal systems and how dysfunction in one system can influence the health and performance of the entire body. Rather than simply chasing the location of pain, he teaches people to look deeper, understand the systems influencing their symptoms, and address the body as a whole.

His passion for this work is also personal. After experiencing a severe back injury and autoimmune disease, Dr. Perry devoted himself to better understanding the body’s interconnected systems and discovering practical ways to support healing, resilience, and quality of life. That experience helped shape the mission behind Stop Chasing Pain: to educate and empower people with tools they can use to take a more active role in their own health.

Dr. Perry is the creator of the Big 6®, the Body Ecosystem Algorithm, and MOJO educational series, which translate complex anatomy, physiology, movement, and systems-based concepts into practical strategies that can be understood and applied by both healthcare and movement professionals and individuals interested in improving their own health.

His extensive background includes performance enhancement, corrective exercise, metabolic fitness nutrition, movement assessment, myofascial and soft-tissue therapies, and functional movement. He is trained and certified in Functional Movement Systems (FMS) and Selective Functional Movement Assessment (SFMA), with decades of hands-on clinical experience informing the way he teaches and approaches the human body.

Through professional education, online programs, live events, podcasts, social media, and his upcoming book, Stop Chasing Pain: Reset Your Lymphatic System to Clear Inflammation, Break Chronic Pain and Rebuild Your Health, Dr. Perry has made it his mission to make complex science understandable, practical, and actionable.

At the heart of his work is a commitment to helping people stop chasing symptoms and start understanding the body as an interconnected ecosystem, giving them practical, sustainable strategies to support healing, movement, resilience, and lifelong health.
