Bodybuilding Wild Chaga Protein Elixir

Hey Everyone! This is Sarah Maria and I’m really excited to have the opportunity to create this blog post today!

Daniel and I didn’t want to leave you hanging for long without new information posted on the site but Daniel is unable to devote any time to his blog for a little while yet as he is on the road and busy spreading the word of Shamanic Nutrition in California! The tour is going great and there are several events left if your thinking you’d like to see Daniel do his thing live and in person!

These next 3 videos are the follow up from the last post entitled “Stalking the Wild Chaga”.

The first video covers proper drying and storage of the Chaga mushroom and preparing a decoction, with the 2nd & 3rd videos being a detailed, step by step instruction on creating an Elixir, using the wild-harvested Chaga tea as a base.

As per usual, Daniel’s delivery in these next 3 videos is flawless… Enjoy!

Daniel has a bit of an aversion to recipes….. preferring to teach the principles and process of ElixirCrafting and encouraging people to use their intuition and to create from their own unique palate, so it’s a special treat that he measured everything this time and I was able to put together the recipe for you!

I’ll let you watch the videos first though… the recipe is included at the bottom of the post.

The ElixirCraft Mastery Program is an excellent resource for understanding the concept and components of making liquid medicinal preparations and I recommend it to anyone who is embarking on the journey to Invincible Health!

Also, check out our friends at rawnatureboy.com to get an exclusive package deal on Sun Warrior Protein Powder, SurThrival Colostrum & Immortal Velvet Deer Antler!!!

For those of us living in areas where Chaga is not readily available we can substitute the Chaga tea base with any medicinal teas we are currently working with, keeping in mind that the flavor may vary slightly… but not enough to make that big of a difference.

Bodybuilding Wild Chaga Protein Elixir

6 cups wild chaga decoction (tea)
1/2 cup soaked chia seeds
1/4 cup mesquite powder
1 cup wild blueberries
3 raw eggs
1/2 cup Sun Warrior protein powder
1/2 cup SurThrival colostrum
1tblsp raw butter (or other fat source)
3 guarana seeds
1tsp vanilla powder
1/3 tsp whole leaf stevia powder (or sweetener of choice)
pinch of salt

Thanks for all your support here at DanielVitalis.com!!!!
We look forward to your comments and feedback….

Great videos thank you, really helpful, I'm going to fetch the ingredients and try it out this next week. A few months a go I found a great site to buy legal steroids from but I also want to combine this with the benefits of Chaga.

Hey Daniel, although this is an old post I just saw the video on youtube and decided to follow it to its source to ask a question.
I have read many conflicting articles about the digestibility of raw eggs, especially the whites. Many people, such as Truth Calkins recommend just eating the yolks raw, claiming the proteins in the whites are not utilized in their raw state (this as well as other issues with biotin). Maybe blending them changes some things though... Can you give me your view on the research into raw eggs?
Thanks for your passion towards experimentation and discovery (as opposed to just showing us another dessert recipe with dates and cashews...)

Daniel, thank you so much for this video. I found my first chaga this past weekend and your advice on storage/use has been so valuable! I made my own version of a chaga elixir today...even my husband liked it! BONUS!
  • danielvitalis
I use Chaga more than any other herb! I love it so much!

    Hey Daniel,
Love your videos. You communicate with such focus and your thoughts come across very well. Love the elixirs.
This might be a little off topic here but was wondering about your opinion on cooked grains like quinoa and amaranth? Thanks :)
  • danielvitalis
    Hey Jordan!

These (non) grains are amazing nutritionally and historically. Still, currently I am not really using them. I am experimenting with greater and greater levels of "primitive nutrition" and so am moving away from eating carbohydrate rich agricultural plants like these. This means a lot of animal nutrition.

The last few years quinoa and amaranth really supported me. I have a deep appreciation for them.

    Thanks for writing!

Cant wait to try out higher quality meats.. so far i have been eating grass fed beef and chicken raw, and the results are amazing!.. never thought i would feel this good in my life.. Is there a source where you get your meats?
  • Ernesto,

That is excellent! Keep your eyes out for a Bison video coming soon!

I get all my meats locally, either from the wild or from local farms.

Look for grass fed Bison farms, that is a great start!

    ~D
  • Ernesto
Hey Brotha! Do you eat grass fed meats raw as well? I hear that there are a lot of good benefits from that as well. Is this also part of the Shamanic Nutrition? Thanks in advance =)
  • Ernesto,

I do, but prefer wild! Lately I am eating some grass fed buffalo... very close to wild, as the genetics are identical to that of wild bison.

Cow will do, but I feel that it is a lower quality of meat than the more wild genetics of the deer, elk, moose, bison, etc...

    Hi Daniel.
    I appreaciate your work.

Why is it that the colostrum - first milk - from a domesticated, hybrid animal - the cow, is good for us?

If the milk from a hybrid animal is soo good. Then there might be that many other man made hybrid organisms also provide us with good nutrition.

What other hybrids - domesticated organisms do you have good experince with? What is your favorite food staples and or superfods that man have hybridized?

And what do you think about permaculture food forest systems left alone for say 10 years , and then consuming the organisms - plant animals - that you find in such a system.

In Geoff Lawton Food Forest - how to make a food forest - he returns to a food forest system not touched by man in 10 years, and there is still lots of edibles.

Is this enough time to test the lifeforce - feralness of foods - to check if it has strong enough survival power - and is good to have in our system?

And what about food created with communication between man and plant - for example I remember Dan Carlson - the man behind Sonic Bloom , by asking the plant to change its colors - had a flower on a plant change its colors.

I beleive that man and nature can co-create "hybrid" foods that are good for us.

But however - the test should be: -can it survive on its own in nature. If it can survive then it has the qualites worthy of conumption - that will synergize with mans longevity and health goals.

I would like to have these important questions commented by you Daniel.
  • Rawelator!

    Wow, great questions...

Your right about the Colostrum coming from a domesticated animal... I agree, and I also see that it fills a nutritional gap that many of us have in our lives... It is also a broad spectrum anti-viral, and so I think it is important. We are very overpopulated, and this makes pandemic a constant threat. Also, the concentration of growth factors and makes regeneration a possibility that is only a dream with other foods!

I really like Raw Dairy, and see that many of us come from shepherd cultures where milk has been drunk for thousands of years. Many of us have "evolved" or adapted to this by maintaining the lactase enzyme into adulthood.

I also agree that we can work with nature to produce domesticates and semi-domesticates of superior quality. This has not been the focus of animal husbandry or horticulture however, instead it has endeavored to create sterile hybrids and weak organisms without immune systems.

I love the concept of permaculture and see that this is a required stage in our movement toward a truly sustainable living system. It does however consume resource at the rate it produces, and so it cannot generate surplus the way that nature does. This is one of the challenges. When humans hunt and gather the rate of consumption is outpaced by the rate of creation, and thusly topsoil is thickened annually. This is difficult even with the best agriculture. It has a place however, and I support it!

Regardless, I am simply sharing the idea of feral nutrition and wild food and water because I am passionate about it. It is what I love and what I teach. I do not intend to create a dogma. I am not saying a person can't have wonderful health another way. This is jjust the message in my heart.

There are many domesticated species I eat. I am continually striving forward to Wild foods and semi-domesticates, but this is a process.

In the interim, foods like colostrum provide an incredible resource, and are one of, if not the most, highly prized foods in traditional milk consuming cultures. Cultures that created strength instead of sterility. I am behind it because it works!

    I really appreciate your questions!

    Big Bless!

Hey Daniel, I want to say that you've been blowing my mind as of late with ideas of an indiginous diet. I just watched the interview you did with Cafe Grattitude - WoW. Really profound stuff, I'm sitting with it and allowing the next steps to come to me.

    With Grattitude,

    Kevin
  • Thanks Kevin!

Daniel, I took your recommendation of reading the by Nourishing Traditions by sally fallon and have learned that animal products are very beneficial. I have been feeling great after adding these into my diet. I am no longer as hungry as i would usually get working with the raw food diet. Thanks for the inspiration bro!
  • Jakob,

    Next read "the vegetarian myth"!

    Even better!

Awesome stuff D...I too do a lot of raw eggs (organic veg fed), and butter (new zealand)...along with your surthrival colustrum..and just recently your chaga product. You can def. feel it. I'm from that old school bodybuilding era as well. when I went raw vegan for 2 years (did the whole superfood smoothies), what I found was that I lost a lot of muscle and strength. Since incorporating the eggs, butter (ala aaajanous/weston price), and coconut milk smoothies, my muscles are fuller, and I am def. stronger. I pick and choose what I need from every camp...though I will say, everything I've tried from you is spot on.
    Peace brutha, Marc Gutierrez (Guam)
  • Thanks Marc!

I am eating Bison heart this week! Raw!

  • myrawadventure
DANG that looks freaking awesome!!! I'm totally moving towards elixirs like that. Out of curiosity, do you work out first thing in the morning BEFORE eating anything?? And then have the elixir with all the healthy fats in it afterwards?? BTW-- the clubbell's are awesome, i'm going to make some soon. Would be an awesome/exciting workout to combine with poi and/or kick boxing.
  • myrawadventure,

    I like before I eat!

    Thats just me...

    Hey Daniel,
I just was turned on to your work by a friend. Its amazing stuff!
I will be seeing you when you come to Calgary.

I have just started to come in to the raw food world and I am liking what I see. I am a trainer and practitioner of Capoeira and acrobatics and do some sort of strength training everyday. One of the first things a noticed was that you are a pretty solid dude and I was wondering how you were able to keep on your muscle mass being a raw foodist. So thanks for this video.

I was wondering if you had the time or if it was written down somewhere and didn't mind you might just jot down what you might eat in a day? I am trying to figure out things I can eat and take on the go because I have been steadily losing weight since I became Vegetarian/Raw and trying to get 100% raw.

Thanks a lot Daniel and I look forward to meeting you and going foraging!!
    Justin
  • Justin,

I am considering a daily diet specific course soon...

Please note, I am neither a vegetarian or rawfoodist! In fact I am in recovery from both...

    More to come... stay tuned!

  • Awesome... elixir-crafting is my favorite hobby!!! I love watching other people make them too!!! Very inspiring ingrediant ideas... just ordered my 1st jar of Surthrival colostrum and deer antler today... can't wait!!!
  • Thanks for the written recipe! It helps keep the expensive ingredients from going to waste when I blend up something that ummm...doesn't end up tasting that great (like I've done in the past - lol.) I think I'll try whipping up a 1/2 serving soon.
  • Hi Daniel

I would love to get your Colostrum here in Barbados...how do i do that.?..your site does not ship outside north america...

    Please help

    Thanks
  • Chantel,

  • Ernesto
also, does the surthrival colostrum contain vitamin b12?
  • Ernesto... for sure it does.
  • Ernesto
Bro, this is AMAZING!!! something iv'e been looking for. This is one of best post work-out meals i have ever seen. Thank u!!!
  • Heikki
Wonderful, Daniel and Sarah Maria! Thank you for this inspiring series of chaga videos.
  • Josh
Super informative thank you. been doing some of the same kinds of elixirs. love the sun warrior stuff but haven't tried the colostrum, it's on my list of stuff to try. was surprised to see the butter and three eggs!
  • Great Videos man. Great blog too. But i would love to eat chicken breast rather than elixir.
  • This drink looks absolutely amazing Daniel :) Interestingly I see my own personal daily elixirs evolving in a similar direction. I think the whole elixir-crafting community that you seem to have fostered will be quite grateful for the suggestion on the use of some raw vegetarian animal products.

Thanks for posting this Sarah Maria!
  • Max Floyd
Fantastic videos! I'm the Oregon sales rep for Sun Warrior and loved seeing it used with all these other things.
